Election of board members
Policy: The governing board of directors shall be in unanimous agreement regarding the acceptance of each new board member.
Purpose: To ensure the board can effectively and harmoniously work together.
Procedure:
- Interested applicants submit their response to the Executive Director.
- Executive Director confirms the receipt of the response with applicant.
- Executive Director reviews response and submits it to the board of directors via the blog where board members can review the application.
- The President of the board shall call references or appoint another board member to call the applicant’s references.
- All necessary applicant information will be discussed at a board meeting or through teleconference.
- Board of Directors will vote to accept or reject applicant.
- If a unanimous decision is reached, the President or appointed board member, will notify the applicant.
