Fairbanks Youth Advocates Board Member Application
In our interest to grow and expand services to the at-risk youth population in the Fairbanks and the greater Interior Alaska Community, Fairbanks Youth Advocates seeks board members with a heartfelt passion for this cause in conjunction with personal qualities of integrity and credibility. Savvy diplomatic skills and a natural affinity for both cultivating relationships, and building consensus among diverse individuals and community organizations is critical to our ongoing growth and success.
It is imperative that FYA board members have a proficiency in the use of the Internet and e-mail in order to efficiently contribute, communicate and make decisions in a timely manner. Board meetings are monthly; days and times fluctuate depending on consensus, and some flexibility is essential.

happy to serve the organization as a volunteer registered nurse or as otherwise needed.
Sincerely,

Yes, I know Kathy personally. I posted a message on Facebook about my recent addition to the board and that FYA is looking for donations. My friend, Sarie, responded asking if we were in need of a large crock pot and/or a registered nurse to volunteer. Then they saw the board opening and applied within a few days.
I don’t know Kathy too well, but I spoke to her and a few other nurses at the hospital once when they wanted more information back in my SOAP days. She is recently retired and wants to help out however she can. She is very sweet and funny and even if she isn’t on the board, would still like to find a way to give her time to the teens.
