- Technological accessibility and ability to email and the Internet are not a problem for me. I have access to the Internet on a daily basis at work, home, and on my smart phone.
- I have read and can agree with the Bylaws and Board Member Expectations.
- My background in teaching middle school and recently working at a local not-for-profit agency in Fairbanks created an interest in serving on the Board of Fairbanks Youth Advocates. I have worked with many at-risk young people and know first-hand how outside resources can help teens create positive goals. While working at Adult Learning Programs of Alaska I taught local adults who lived at the Mission and saw how many had turned their lives around from the support and services provided.
- Prior to working at Wilson & Wilson CPAs I was a public school teacher for 14 years. I served on committees and was a leader providing training for teachers in math and technology. The main focus of past volunteering efforts have been in the school setting.
- More recently I have volunteered for the Two Rivers Dog Mushers Association and will be serving as the secretary for the upcoming season.
- Organization, reliability, and my accounting background are strengths I can bring to the Board.
