- Update on Carhartts and Pearls:
- Ticket sales growing- 62 tickets sold
- Planning group is amazing
- Board members will wear nametags
- 4 minute video is being designed to talk about the amazing-ness of FYA- then a brief moment where we thank everyone for coming and invite them to get more involved. Board members will stand together and Dave will speak on behalf of the board.
- Are board members comfortable answering questions about the Governor’s proposed budget- approximately 50% of our shelter funding would go away if that budget is passed
- Board members’ role: mingle, enjoy, be present, visit, participate in the silent desert auction or raffle (do not participate in Alaska Airlines raffle). The entertainment will be about 30-35 minutes.
- There are going to be some great prizes. There will be a bar so folks can purchase alcohol if interested.
- The realistic goal is to break even, which would be $7-$8,000
- We have to give a final count next Tuesday
- Financial Report
- Clearwater made $33,614 more income in the first quarter of 2019 than 2018, but also spent about that much more.
- At the next meeting, we would like to see the 2017 and 2018 P & L comparison for those full years, in addition to the 3-year trend for the year-to-date comparison (Jan-present).
