Front porch and boiler replacement for brown house.
Discussion about marijuana industry donating to nonprofits in town. Does this present a concern for us?
Outside camera usage:
From all I can tell, it is legal and proper to do what we are doing, using security cameras in a “public space”. We can’t record conversations without consent of both parties but we aren’t doing that anyway.

Food Pantry: West Valley H.S. request
Michelle Kougl, Student Body President at Hutchison High School and President of Hutch’s student-led group, Students For Change. Students For Change promotes progressive change and students’ interests to strengthen our community through service projects, public awareness, and advocacy. I have combined the strengths of both of these groups to create a great way for the Fairbanks community to come together. The idea we have come up with was inspired by a trend in the lower forty-eight. We want to create a community food pantry. The purpose of the food pantry is to offer support those in need with non-perishable food items and basic everyday necessities that are donated by people in the community and put into the pantry. Ideally, the pantry will sit outside and will be open to anyone to come and get what they need whenever they need it, as well as be open for anyone to drop off donations. Our architecture and construction career cluster at Hutch has built our pantry and our student council held a food drive and is ready to donate non perishable items and everyday necessities to start the pantry off right. Hutchison’s Students For Change and Student Council will continue to provide items for the pantry and will monitor the pantry to make sure it always has the items it needs. The only problem we have come across is finding a home for our pantry. Unfortunately, we cannot place it outside at Hutch because the school property cannot be open to all. I am looking around and asking several places if they are willing to be the home for this. I am wondering if The Door is open to hosting our pantry for us? We believe this project fits well with your organization and hope you will consider this.
