Dear Patrick, Marylee, and all my friends at FYA,

I am so grateful for the time spent on the FYA board and honored to have shared a part in the vision long before we had a board.  What a joy it has been to work with such talented and dedicated people to create a place of safety for Fairbanks youth.  You are all dear friends.

However, due to the changing seasons of life, I can no longer give the time required to this work and I feel very strongly that I am being moved in another direction.  Part of that direction is to care for my elderly parents in my home as long as I am able to do so.  We honor our parents and so honor the Lord.  I can do no less.

So, with mixed emotions, I am officially resigning as a board member of FYA.  I will continue to pray for all of you as this work expands and multiplies and I will support you in any way I can.  I will always have a heart for youth and the work you are doing.
