WE – Clearwater – were contacted by the FNSB who holds the umbrella for the AmeriCorps Vista’s. They called – then I met with the Vista Leader who basically offered us a 3 year Vista. Vista’s are college graduates. Vista’s are about building capacity. For Fairbanks Youth Advocates/ The Door, they could do program development – website design- awareness and outreach – and best of all – research funding and help with building infrastructure and sustainability!!!!!! BUT I NEED THE BOARD TO PROVIDE FEEDBACK WITHIN THE WEEK. Because if we applied now, the soonest we could have someone might be NOVEMBER. Please provide a response on the blog.
This person would be trained, and recieve living allowance and health insurance at no charge to us.

(The Joel’s Place AmeriCorps program – is short term – direct service as opposed to helping an agency build sustainability – anyone over 17 can apply)
