At this time last year, Fairbanks Youth Advocates held an open house to celebrate the completion of “the Door,” our newly constructed shelter for homeless youth. It was literally finished just days before the opening and its freshly painted walls and wide open spaces were begging for furniture and personality. Since then, an infusion of donations have imbued that building with the indelible marks of love that define the supportive and caring Fairbanks community.

Some of you have given of your time, money, artwork, supplies and caring thoughts and prayers. Without you, quite simply, we would not exist. To every single one of you who have shared in this journey, even in the slightest way, we are immeasurably grateful. On behalf of the Board of Directors, a great big thank you to our amazing Executive Director, Staff, Volunteer team, and to all of you out there who share our mission to facilitate life transitions for at-risk youth.
