From St. Petersburg, Florida, Sarah arrived during a record breaking cold snap November 17, 2011. FYA had a name, a vision, a borrowed desk and donated computer. One of her earliest assignments was to create a Facebook page. “Facebook?” She said, “I don’t know much about Facebook,” but she attacked that challenge like she tackled all other tasks that came her way, with perseverance and a smile. Three years later, Sarah has completed her VISTA term with FYA. It is difficult to find the words to properly convey the importance of Sarah’s contribution to the growth of FYA. But one thing is clear, we would not be who or where we are today without Sarah’s contributions and her willing smile. Sarah….go proudly into your future endeavors as a VISTA Leader.
