Meeting Adjourned 6:08pm
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Roll Call- Present: Joyce Weiss, Paul Alanson, Dave Miller, Sarah Finnell, Marylee Bates; Absent: Patrick Endres<\/li>
  2. Update on Carhartts and Pearls:
    1. Ticket sales growing- 62 tickets sold<\/li>
    2. Planning group is amazing<\/li>
    3. Board members will wear nametags<\/li>
    4. 4 minute video is being designed to talk about the amazing-ness of FYA- then a brief moment where we thank everyone for coming and invite them to get more involved. Board members will stand together and Dave will speak on behalf of the board. <\/li>
    5. Are board members comfortable answering questions about the Governor\u2019s proposed budget- approximately 50% of our shelter funding would go away if that budget is passed<\/li>
    6. Board members\u2019 role: mingle, enjoy, be present, visit, participate in the silent desert auction or raffle (do not participate in Alaska Airlines raffle). The entertainment will be about 30-35 minutes.<\/li>
    7. There are going to be some great prizes. There will be a bar so folks can purchase alcohol if interested.<\/li>
    8. The realistic goal is to break even, which would be $7-$8,000<\/li>
    9. We have to give a final count next Tuesday<\/li><\/ol><\/li>
    10. Financial Report <\/a>
      1. Clearwater made $33,614 more income in the first quarter of 2019 than 2018, but also spent about that much more.<\/li>
      2. At the next meeting, we would like to see the 2017 and 2018 P & L comparison for those full years, in addition to the 3-year trend for the year-to-date comparison (Jan-present).<\/li>
      3. Add Drake house financials to our monthly report<\/li><\/ol><\/li>
      4. Director\u2019s Report<\/a>
        1. Pick.Click.Give donations were way up!<\/li>
        2. Safety concerns after a threatening phone call<\/li>
        3. Drake house has renters and Somers & Associates is managing it very well<\/li>
        4. Very challenging to tighten the budget<\/li>
        5. New donors! Yay!<\/li><\/ol><\/li>
        6. Committee Reports
          1. Building- nothing to report<\/li>
          2. Sunshine- volunteer appreciation hasn\u2019t happened, but we might have a casual bbq for staff and volunteers- spontaneously, on a nice<\/li>
          3. Fundraising- see above<\/li><\/ol><\/li>
          4. Next meeting- accept minutes from March and April meetings<\/strong><\/li>
          5. Next Meeting: \u00a0Monday, May 13th 4:30-6:30<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
