Denali State Bank called this week and invited us to open a bank account with them. My immediate thought was unprofessional! But loan officer, Ana Koumal then said, “I don’t know what your relationship is with your bank, and I’m sure it’s great, but we want to build a relationship with you.” And that started me thinking. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Having a relationship with a bank that believes in our mission would be useful. Denali has already given us discounts that exceed the annual donation we get from AK USA for One Homeless Night. I would be in support of opening 1 new account, just for the TAY project at Denali State Bank. All money from the TAY House rentals could go into this account. Yes, Quick Books could also track this – but QB doesn’t give us an opportunity to build a relationship\/partnership.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
If you are in agreement with this, I need two things from the board. 1: In a new post, someone propose, another second and others vote that I be allowed to open an account with Denali and 2, state who the signers will be. I would suggest that Sarah and I be signers at a minimum, though it would be good to have a 3rd person. I believe, in the past we were instructed that financial folks (like Deidre & Paul) not be signers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
As a note – Denali confirmed that signers do not have to come in – in person to open the account! They complete a form and provide a copy of their ID, which can be carried to the bank by your favorite ED. Thanks folks…<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
