The Alaska Community Foundation account has fund balance of $462,995 down 5% since inception. &nbsp;We also have $19,222 of unreimbursed  ESG expenses from December 2018 that have been submitted. We were fortunate to start January with $73,230 in checking since the BHAP and ESG December money will not be received until February 7, 2019.  January 2019 BHAP\/ESG expenses total $16,028 and the report is ready to be submitted to AHFC. &nbsp;All year-end 2018 tax filings are current as well as 1099s, 1096, W2s, and W3.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Clearwater Counseling: &nbsp;<\/strong>Had $22,929 counseling revenue for January 2019. Negative net cash flow &nbsp;of $8,048, primarily due to paying  the 2018 \u201cbonus\u201d to Dave ($8,024).  Dave was paid a salary differential of $8,024 to bring his 2018 salary up to one-half of counseling revenue per KLG Billing\u2019s tally of counseling revenue. &nbsp;Counseling revenue from Jaimie\u2019s clients is $4,387  .  Clearwater Counseling donated $15,000 to FYA. Bank balances are as follows:  Spirit of Alaska checking $22,808 savings $417. AlaskaUSA checking $20,541 We anticipate being able to close Spirit of Alaska account (old acct) by the end of March 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong> The Year in Review: &nbsp;&nbsp;Highlights of the 2018 Profit &amp; Loss Statement<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>and comparing it to 2017<\/strong><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alaska Community Foundation: &nbsp;Beginning amount $486,686.  2018 donations $2,201. &nbsp;Management fees and losses -$25,891.93  (exactly 5%). &nbsp;Ending amount $462,995.07<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2018 income compared to 2017 income: &nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pick.Click.Give donations increase 13% <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Clearwater Counseling donated $45,000 (250% increase) as they had a stellar year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Agency donations jumped 200% primarily due to $25,000 donation from RMF Foundation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Church donations decreased 15%<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Business contributions almost 250% primarily due to Credit Union 1 donation of $10,000<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Donations arriving in newsletter envelopes jumped 230%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Greater Giving donations increased 18%<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Individual donations increased 6%<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>OVERALL: &nbsp;17% increase<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fundraising Event Income: &nbsp;OHN 2018 brought in $12,164 (19% less, $2,843).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Other grant income: &nbsp;Stopped ACN (school food program), was awarded $20,000 TOTE Youth Development grant, and $1,000 Doyon youth jobs grant.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Expenses:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Combined shelter utility expenses up 7% &nbsp;(telephone, alarms, water, electric, garbage, heating oil).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Shelter repairs\/maintenance 33% increase ( $767)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Shelter food expense up 8% ($492).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Outreach and youth development activities greatly increased &nbsp;38% ($3,500) due to TOTE grant<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Advertising expense increased 2% ($169).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Staff housing expenses 132 10th Ave decrease 9% (R &amp; M, water, heating oil, elec)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>FYA office expenses increased 20% ($900) primarily in dues\/memberships (P.C.G., Foraker, Rotary, etc).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Stipends and tuition for interns increased five-fold ($10,900)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Payroll increased 3% ($11,000).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The net effect of these payroll increases (stipend + tuition + other payroll) is a total increase of 5% ($21,960).<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Net Income:<\/strong><strong> <\/strong>&nbsp;+$67,156 which is $86,500 more than 2017!<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Clearwater Counseling 2018 Summary: &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Good management = good revenue<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Revenue for 2018 is $245,454, &nbsp;$20,142 of which is from our part-time providers. &nbsp;Clearwater Counseling\u2019s 2018 revenue is $31,879 <strong>more<\/strong> than than last year!! Go Dave!! &nbsp;We also processed $32,467 of in-house counseling sessions and assessments (EAP, self-pay, OCS, attorneys), saving $3,571 in outside contract billing fees. Way to go value-added receptionists!! &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Actually, the real story with value-added receptionists is in the significant decrease in small balance write-offs (bad debt written off Clearwater Counseling\u2019s books because it is uncollectible).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Small balance write-offs 2016 (pre-receptionist): &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;$11,096<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Small balance write-offs 2017 (first year of receptionist): &nbsp;$7,718<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Small balance write-offs 2018 (EXPERT receptionists): &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;$2,285       Yay Team!!<br><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Roll Call Open in prayer Mission Review: Walk through The Door (10-15) Accept minutes from January meeting Signature Time sheets Financial Report w\/ Deidre (see below) Unfinished Business Review core values and purpose (who are we?)
