I totally let this slip last night so am posting for a vote from the board. A vote is required because this is not a line item in the budget and<\/span> it is more than $1000. Please log into the board site and reply to accept or reject this proposal under the post. Dave Miller has been included in the process all along the way.<\/p>\n

In the process of preparing 132 Tenth Ave to return to housing for staff, we have asked Vision Construction for a bid. This is a small job and originally I asked Nathan Woody of Plumbline, who has been our ‘go-to’ guy. Nathan is working extensively in Valdez this winter and recommended Vision.<\/p>\n

When Joe Kurber, of Vision, came to do the bid – he asked lots of questions about The Door, the ministry, etc. His heart was clearly touched because he immediately (on his own) began trying to get the appliances we need donated.<\/p>\n

The bid came in at $3865.00 and includes: mobilization, install new tub with surround shower\/tub trim and valve, framing as needed, new hood and vent and ducting to exterior as well as:<\/p>\n

  1. All sheetrock and paint is included. We will make sure it is a clean, finished installation when we are all done.<\/li>\n
  2. The tub surround we are planning to use is a basic 3-piece direct-to-stud style in white, with a matching white tub. Also, we are assuming a shower curtain rod, not glass doors.<\/li>\n
  3. The shower trim kit (shower faucet, tub faucet, diverter, etc) is Moen in oil rubbed bronze to match your existing.<\/li>\n
  4. We are planning to go right over the existing flooring, except where we need to make up the drain. That way, we don’t need to worry about the flooring curling or not matching up.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
