June 22 2015<\/p>\n

Roll call 5:04pm<\/p>\n

Present:\u00a0Marylee, Patrick, Dave, Liz, & Tami.
\nAbsent: Meryem, Chick, Dean, Sarah & Barb
\nWe do not have a quorum<\/p>\n

Cards for Niki were passed around and signed by board members and contributions were included as a gift.<\/p>\n

  1. Amendment to the May minutes\n
      \n
    1. One third of our income should be one third of our\u00a0donations.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
    2. April ED report:\n
        \n
      1. Talked about Nicki’s job. Jonelle is the new supervisor. No shelter exp. But a lot of kid exp.Worked for the chamber in her community.\u00a0Very good with the public.<\/li>\n
      2. \u00a0Talked about the training at the Hospital about sex trafficking. Marylee attended.<\/li>\n
      3. \u00a0Bus advertising has not happened as planned<\/li>\n
      4. \u00a0Vista Person would help with the FYA campus. Working with the social enterprise and social media.<\/li>\n
      5. \u00a0Working on the flex schedule.\u00a0Marylee hasn’t had to work the last 4 weekends.<\/li>\n
      6. \u00a0Raven landing is bringing\u00a0left over dinner.<\/li>\n
      7. \u00a0Bought shelving and chairs. With Rotary\u00a0donation money.<\/li>\n
      8. \u00a0Next Step\u00a0Ministry is doing projects for us. Did demo on upstairs of green house and painted it.\u00a0They would like to help us develop our campus.<\/li>\n
      9. \u00a0FYA was awarded the\u00a0BHAP\u00a0and BE\u00a0Grants<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
      10. FYA staff and volunteer flow chart.\n
          \n
        1. Exploring\u00a0a part time person for web and social media. Thinking ten hours a week. Could work from home.\u00a0No current leads as of now.<\/li>\n
        2. Employee flow chart update and staff management plan<\/li>\n
        3. Lead positions at the Shelter get to go to\u00a0Covenant house for training and networking.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
        4. Directives for the director.\n
            \n
          1. Patrick will type up the directives noted in the minutes and they will be posted on the board website as a reference\n
              \n
            1. Develop Staff reorganization plan to limit emergency call in shifts and weekend work by ED and Shelter Supervisor<\/li>\n
            2. Focus on broader community fund raising and networking<\/li>\n
            3. Delegate smaller tasks to lower level staff<\/li>\n
            4. Develop One Homeless Night Fundraiser<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
            5. Follow up to Niki’s SWAT Report\n
                \n
              1. Suggested that Board members visit FYA staff meetings and staff can come to a few min of board meeting.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
              2. Treasurer added as signer\n
                  \n
                1. Liz is taking over the job of treasure so needs to be listed as a signer on the accounts. Patrick will make a resolution on the board website so we can approve this ASAP.<\/li>\n

                3. Next year we will be listed on the Pick-Click-Give website.<\/li>\n
