Ideally, this process should be moved to January, and we hope to do that in the future).<\/li>\n<li>Tasks\/Committees &#8211; think about volunteering for any of the following tasks:\n<ol>\n<li>Be on a team to review and update both the Board and ED evaluations to make them more appropriate to recent changes and most appropriate questions.<\/li>\n<li>Be on a team to organize a Calendar of events for recurring board activities to help us keep on track (a few events listed below)\n<ol>\n<li>Board Evals<\/li>\n<li>ED evals<\/li>\n<li>Annual Budget Proposal and Adoption<\/li>\n<li>Annual Operating Plan \/ Strategic Planning Meeting<\/li>\n<li>Annual Retreat\/Advance event or Meeting with Foraker?<\/li>\n<li>Volunteer appreciation event<\/li>\n<li>ED Annual Objectives and Guidance<\/li>\n<li>Annual Fundraiser and marketing schedule<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li>Be on a team to deal with annual operating plans. We did not create a 2015 operating plan. Our 2014 Operating plan can be viewed at http:\/\/www.fairbanksyouthadvocates.org\/board\/misc\/2014-operating-plan\/<\/li>\n<li>Be on a team to finalize a basic outline of priorities for our ED for the remainder of 2015 which will be submitted at the May 2015 meeting.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li>New board member training is a requirement by our grants. We will try to schedule board training during one hour of our May board meeting with Mike Walsh.\n<ol>\n<li>Annual Board member financial contributions.\u00a0Grants require that all board members are financially contributing to the organization. Evaluate what that means for you.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li>Schedule Next Meeting May 27?<\/li>\n<li>Board bio update &#8211; we are out of date on website AND board blog site. Need bios from Dean and Chick. We are seeking a personal narrative which expresses why you want to serve on the FYA Board.
