There was one left over subject from our last board meeting due to my oversight. I’d like for us to adress that, along with two other topics prior to our next meeting.<\/p>\n

    1. How should we go about thanking major financial donors? We had two in the past few months. Please share your thoughts.\n

      1. My initial take is this:<\/li>\n
      2. Hand written thank you note<\/li>\n
      3. Personal phone call from the ED<\/li>\n
      4. Invitation for a personal tour of the Shelter<\/li>\n
      5. Option for some means of commemoration, i.e. plaque (i hate plaques though)<\/li>\n
      6. Ask them if we mind publicly thanking them in media venues or if they wish to remain anonymous<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
      7. Share your Art Fundraiser set for February 23, Saturday. Can anyone represent FYA? Marylee will be gone. We must have board representation – not just employee representation.<\/li>\n
      8. A secondaryy check signer was not available to pay our employees a while back. I suggest, in accord with Rodney’s suggestion to Marylee: (Rodney has suggested that we must have an inhouse signer for paychecks. His comment was “no one should be waiting for a signer in order to get their paycheck”. \u00a0A second signer is about accountability.) that we need to make it easier and more efficient on ourselves to conduct basic business. Niki is a good alternative signer.\n

        1. I make the motion that Niki be added as a secondary signer for payroll.
